Abstract
One of the most important issues of security schools is the issue of security reference, playing a role not only in the development of security theories, but also in the definition of security. The question is what is the objective of security? For whom or what is the security? Various answers have been raised to this question by security study scholars. Of course, most security school theorists have considered international security to be unattainable, while in the Islamic security school, security is not only possible in a global scale and between states and nations, but also some mechanisms have been posed for achieving it. Y referring to the Holy Quran - the mostly agreed credible source of knowledge available to all Muslims - and the teachings of the Prophet (pbuh) and his Ahlul-Bayt (Family), the present paper is intended to answer this question of international security issues that “from the Islamic viewpoint, what is the international security authority?” Or in other words, “for what or for whom is international security?”
